Hartmann Enterprises was begun in 1980 as a homebuilding company by Charles
Hartmann and his son Rick. In 1984 they where joined by Rick's brother Frank.
When demand for backhoe work associated with their home building projects
increased, Hartmann Enterprises purchased their first piece of equipment a 1977
Ford 550 Backhoe. As the company continued to grow, excavation work became a
bigger part of the business. Realizing this, the company added more
excavation equipment, a bulldozer, and an excavator. Charles Hartmann retired in
1991 and Frank Hartmann became a full partner. As time progressed they were
receiving calls from other builders and homeowners about excavating work.
Finally in 1997, Rick and Frank built their last home after deciding that
excavating work was what they really wanted to do.
Today, their services include general excavating, road building, water and
sewer work, septic systems, rock crushing, and many other related items.
Currently there are five full time workers and three part time.
Quality work for a fair price has
always been their motto and this tradition will continue into the future.
